SEMESTER TRAINING IN SOMATIC SEXUALITY

Orgasmic Dance and Breathing

Danced Erotic Massage Workshop

The wonder of feeling your entire body in ecstasy simultaneously

Sometimes we feel that sexual arousal is confined entirely to the pelvic area. Taoist dance massage seeks to distribute energy throughout your body and integrate that energy with your whole being. In this way, a lasting and expansive feeling of well-being and happiness can be established. In this massage, we introduce the role of the active receiver (moving, dancing, and breathing), the five undulating movements, and the five regulating breaths of Sexological Bodywork.

This is a workshop you can attend alone or as a couple. If you come as a couple, the practice will be between you; if you come alone, you can find a partner at the venue or you will have the option of observing the practice.

About the Workshop

Have you ever felt that your sexual arousal was confined entirely to your pelvis and genital area?

And that the only way to maintain arousal was through increasing tension in your body?

What if pleasure could come in waves, allowing you to sink into a state of deep relaxation and trance?

The massage aims to distribute sexual pleasure throughout your body and integrate that energy with your entire being. In this way, a lasting sense of pleasure and happiness can be established.

It was created by Joseph Kramer as part of the Body Electric School program, now known as Sexological Bodywork. Kramer says of it: “In my twenty-five years of teaching, my most profound experiences have involved a form of bodywork called Dance Erotic Massage. This massage often leads men and women into trance-like states. The massage activates altered states of consciousness that some call the LSD of sex education. I have witnessed thousands of men and women access and benefit from these amazing states.”

This massage is Taoist in that it doesn’t seek a specific goal, but rather to allow you to flow between different states. Therefore, it’s not about having orgasms, but about what we’ll call ‘orgasmicity,’ a capacity to feel more pleasure, more freely, and with fewer constraints. Orgasmicity is also the capacity to feel pleasure with all aspects of your being: body, mind, emotions, sensations, motivations, and relationships. ‘Orgasmicity’ will be built alongside the conscious perception of your sensuality, sexuality, and eroticism, and the ability to express your needs as they arise in each moment.

A primary principle embraced by this practice is respect for the intelligence of your being, your body, your mind, your motivations, your emotions, and your responses. In the practice of Taoist Dance Massage, you can begin by inviting yourself to shift from the attitude of wanting to ‘change’ something about your sexuality to wanting to ‘listen’ to yourself and ‘express’ yourself. In listening, you will develop a series of abilities that allow changes to express themselves.

A second principle of Taoist Dance Massage is to allow yourself to flow between everything you are doing and feeling with your body, mind, emotions, motivations, external stimuli, and voluntary or involuntary responses.

The skill we seek to acquire with this massage is the ability to flow easily between different states, without feeling trapped in any of them. Over time, you will achieve greater flow between who you are and what gives you pleasure.

Massage is a practice that can simultaneously provide somatic awareness and erotic openness. This practice can help you shape your own sexual reality.

What will you learn from this massage?

  • 6 breathing techniques to enhance your ability to flow.

  • 5 undulating spinal movement techniques
4 specific body touch techniques used in dance massage

  • 3 types of genital massage that may or may not be incorporated into the massage experience (optional)

The breathing techniques we will learn are:

  • 2 up-regulation breaths (sympathetic regulation)

  • 1 plateau breath (between sympathetic and parasympathetic)

  • 2 down-regulation breaths (parasympathetic regulation)

The big draw or long hold, to distribute orgasmic sensation throughout your entire body simultaneously

What does Taoist Erotic Massage look like?

This erotic massage combines sexological breathing techniques, dance, expression, and genital touch. You will also learn to be mindful of your needs and how to express them. The massage offers you the opportunity to learn a completely new approach to erotic massage and touch.

Regarding the two days of work

The first day of the workshop will begin with a group warm-up session focused on sensitivity, communication, and expression. We will then practice Sexological Bodywork breathing techniques to regulate the nervous system in relation to our sexuality. The day will conclude with the Three Circles ritual—developed by Joseph Kramer—to cultivate orgasm in a group setting, but without physical contact.

The second day will include an individual practice called the Butterfly Meditation, a paired breathing exercise, a learning and demonstration session, and a final activation session where you will practice massage. Finally, we will have a circle to share our experiences.

Ritual of the Three Circles

We’ll close the first day with the Three Circles Ritual. It’s a great erotic exercise to practice what you’ve learned individually without the pressure of working in pairs. This way, you can practice the breathing techniques and see how you regulate your arousal through them.

It’s also a practice designed by Joseph Kramer: a collective practice where you sustain group energy without physical contact.

The ritual mainly consists of forming a circle where each participant can engage in any sensual self-exploration they wish. An outer ring is added to this circle where it’s possible to remain in a meditative state without doing anything. And there’s also an inner ring where you can dance and move. These are the three circles.

Some important aspects of this practice:

  • You choose how far you want to go. It can be a gentle exploration on the skin or a full-blown display. There’s no right or wrong.
  • You can choose how much clothing you want to wear or cover yourself with a sheet. Nudity is not required.
  • Looking at others is not allowed. The idea is to raise the energy among everyone and inspire each other with the atmosphere created. We are not seeking to establish connections through eye contact. Contact is also not allowed (for the same reasons).

What to bring to the workshop?

For a complete experience, we invite you to bring the following items:

  • Double sheet: To cover the massage mat. Please note that it may get oily, so please don’t bring your finest sheets that you reserve for special occasions.
  • Warm clothing: It will be cold this weekend. Please bring blankets or fabrics that can cover you during the massage in areas not directly touched, but that can be easily removed. Please avoid heavy comforters or blankets.
  • Eye mask or scarf: There’s nothing more pleasant than covering your eyes after a massage.
  • Massage oil: Bring your favorite oil for giving or receiving massages. Please do not use essential oils that may be irritating, as they will also be used on the genitals. Organic oils such as sunflower, coconut, jojoba, or sesame are recommended.
  • Gloves: Some people prefer not to have their genitals touched directly. Vinyl or nitrile gloves are a good option, as latex reacts to oil. Check the correct size.
  • Towel or paper towel: Useful for quickly wiping off oil if you need to go to the bathroom or perform a maneuver that requires less slipping.
Antibacterial gel: Hand hygiene is important at all times. You can bring a small bottle of hand sanitizer.
  • Clean, short nails: Your partner will appreciate it.
  • A big, open heart: For giving and receiving.

Aspects to consider

Participants can come in pairs or alone. Those who arrive alone will be able to find a practice partner at the workshop itself. Please note that you will need to be undressed to receive the massage and clothed to give it, and oil will be used.

You can arrive about 10 minutes early to settle into your own rhythm. We start promptly and it may run a little longer than usual.

This workshop is physically demanding. You don’t need to be trained or have special endurance skills; it’s suitable for all body types. You also choose the intensity level of the practice according to your desires and abilities. Just try not to schedule any evening activities or anything that requires a lot of physical exertion in the days leading up to the workshop. Please eat well and lightly, and especially avoid alcohol and psychoactive substances.

You will need time to process and digest the information. I encourage you not to schedule any other activities the night before or between the workshop and the session.
