In the sessions you are invited to work from body awareness through continuous, smooth and effortless movements. In this way, your nervous system can integrate more effectively and sustainably the changes and knowledge acquired throughout the practice that benefit you in your daily life. The Feldenkrais Method is a somatic learning process that uses movement as a vehicle to access the brain and its ability to create new neural connections. It is based on teaching movement, conscious attention to sensation, minimal effort required and the pleasure of moving.
Functional Integration (FI) is a gentle manual technique of the Feldenkrais Method that is carried out in individual sessions. In these sessions, the student’s specific movement patterns are worked on through manual contact, using elements such as pressure, stretching, pushing, etc. The objective of IF is to improve the student’s functioning, releasing tensions and restrictions, and helping them to recover creativity and express themselves more fully.
I am an accredited teacher of the Feldenkrais Method from Argentina. I have also trained with experts such as Jerry Karzam and, through Diana Romano, I am specializing in Jeff Haller’s IOPS line.
In the form promoted by all schools and associations of the Feldenkrais Method, in the Functional Integrations sessions the student is clothed and no erotic touching is done on or near the genitals. The Functional Integrations modality of the Feldenkrais Method should not be confused with the modalities offered on this site. On this site, the framework and several of the techniques of the method are partially adopted and brought into the field of somatic sexual learning. Anyone who wants to receive a Functional Integration of the Feldenkrais Method can find a colleague here.
